True story with Graphic Designers!

I have a friend named Abhishek (AL) who is a graphic designer and loves to play with colours. I was just going through some of his random flyers which were designed by him for his clients and found that some were exclusively well finished whereas some appeared to be very pale in appearance. From my personal experience I can say that AL is a very versatile guy who maintains high standards for himself. But in this case, it was very dull and lacked his finishing touches.

When enquired from him, he said that it was the client's wish and moreover he was very irritated with the client's habit of constant monitoring. On the first instance it just appeared to me that he was just kidding and would soon add up some sparkling effects but however, none took place and he delivered the same to the client in the same state. But then this had confused me as how come such a versatile designer leave his tasks looking so ordinary?

Later that evening, while sipping a cup of coffee with him I realized something, designers are like birds. They love freedom. When you constantly try to catch them, their original potential remains to the limit space which the client provides.

It is very important to ensure that Graphic Developers are provided with freedom in respect of designing such that the best can come out form them. And by the time I am busy typing these, he has made a lovely tattoo on my shoulders with his pen. Looks amazing! <3

Designing the Corporate Identity Kit for your business

Corporate Identity Kit has become an implied need for the businesses these days. With brand value increasing day by day, a need to establish distinction from competitors has been felt and therefore, the need of corporate identity kit arises.

What is Corporate Identity Kit?
CIK or the Corporate Identity Kit is a modern day business solution which includes various necessities of the business. It mainly includes all items of formal communication in form of business cards, Letterhead, Envelop and similar other materials. A good graphic designer is implied for designing your corporate identity kit as it will directly reflect the status of the company. There are various guidelines which the designer must abide by and therefore, precision in work plays an important role.

How to make a Corporate Identity Kit?
Designing the Corporate Identity Kit is a task of diligence where a particular theme has to be maintained. Start off by business card as they easy to design and should have the following:
  •        Name of the business
  •         Logo of the business
  •        Designation of the person who holds the card along with his/ her name
  •        Contact details

This information can be stored under two formats: one side printed business card and double sided business card.

Once the business card has been designed, the same theme has to be implemented on the envelope as well. However, there is no requirement for any person’s name on the envelope as it is understood that envelop are issued by the company. With the two major elements of the CIK being done, the rest should be precisely placed under their respective form.

Many people also consider corporate logo to be a part of the CIK. Therefore, it is a duty of the graphic designers to put forward the proposal of logo design to their clients separately and clear the misconception. Corporate Identity Kit has been gaining vital importance over the past few years as the competition in between corporates have gone being stiff to stiffer. From the point of view of a graphic designer, never feel that you are working for money; rather feel that you are working on these projects as our hobby. The result will always be better as the mind will be relaxed. Also do not forget to ask your clients about other necessities in form of brochure design and catalog design.

Face to face with online brand promotion

Today the internet has become a pervasive solution for people. No what matter what your need is or where your need is, the internet has an answer for almost every persisting problem. It was only two decades back where people used to employ the tools of banners, posters, flyers and brochures as their main brand promotion ingredients; however, with time these things have taken a back seat as the realm of internet has come as the primary choice for promotion.

What is online promotion?
Online promotion is a dynamic field which allows people to make a widespread reach for their services and products. Using the internet as medium, this channel allows companies to highlight their product over various countries and cities at a single point of time. The result is an overwhelming response from clients that come across from various corners of the globe.

How the products/ services are promoted?
The hemisphere of the internet is very broad. First of all, the category of the product has to be sorted followed by targeting the audience section. Once the target has been set promotion can take place from social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Digg, etc. There are also other channels in form of online e-commerce website such as amazon and eBay that can help people to promote their product/ services fast.

What is the difference between the old and the new method?
The main difference between the methods is their reach. The new method is way more effective than the older method in terms of reach because it operates on a larger scale that has channels in every corner of the world. For an instance, if you are promoting a cosmetic brand through the older method you would not only be limited to the local places or to certain countries at maximum. However, with the new method of promotion, you’re reach is guaranteed to be in more than 100 different nations. Moreover, the associated costs are also lesser as compared to the primitive method.

How does onlinepromotion campaign help me to get clients?

The modern day promotion technique works on a simple principle- Pervasiveness! If your reach is high then the number of clients will automatically increase as more and more people would come to know about your product. You just cannot expect to target 10, 000 people and have 15, 000 as clients. It is only possible when you target an audience which is greater than the target number and this is what internet provides you with.
